1971 | In addition to the main editorial activity, TECHNA GROUP starts a series of congresses in the field of materials science and technology. Under the acronism CIMTEC (International Conferences on Modern Materials and Technologies), this series of congresses grew in importance during the years and now is rated as one of the major events organized in Europe to address advancements in materials research and technology innovation. |

1975 | Cooperates to the launch of the first edition of TECNARGILLA (International Fair of Technologies and Equipment for the Heavy Clay and Ceramics Industry), the first to be established and, up to now, one of the worldwide most important trade fairs for the ceramics industry. |

1976 | Organizes, in the framework of TECNARGILLA, the "1st International Technical Colloquium on Ceramics Processing" (TECHCER). This first edition was followed by other twelve editions up to the year 1988. |

1983 | Organizes the 12th International Conference "SCIENCE OF CERAMICS" of the European Ceramic Association. |

1987 | Together with some leading ceramic companies and with the involvement of an international team of top ceramic scientists supports the foundation of the World Academy of Ceramics (WAC) of which till today is a major Supporting Member. |

1992 | Organizes IMAT (Exhibition on Innovative Materials) as a joint venture with the the Ente Fiera di Bologna. |

1998 | In close cooperation with the University of Bologna, starts the series of meetings held in Italy and abroad titled "Technical Innovation in the Ceramics Wall&Floor Tile Industry”, also including the thematic show: “DECORTECH" devoted to innovative solutions on the aesthetics and design of ceramic wall and floor tile. As from the year 2000, this series of meetigs awarded the "International Prize on Technical Innovation" to recognize main achievements in the sector to be assigned to industrialists, technicians and researchers of the ceramics wall and floor tile industry. The role of TECHNA GROUP is recognized internationally for its continued support to the promotion of the scientific and technological development of the ceramics and new materials sectors, with activities held in conjunction with, or with the involvement of, major professional scientific and cultural organizations including Academy of Sciences, Universities and Public Research Institutions, Professional organizations, and industrial groups worldwide. |
